SUMMARY:

The General Accountant will be responsible for all aspects of the company‘s accounting function, including accounts payable and receivable, payment reconciliation, bank cash management, expense management, tax compliance, and financial reporting. This role is crucial for ensuring the accuracy of financial records and compliance with Philippine accounting standards

JOB DESCRIPTION:

• Daily Financial Operations: Record financial transactions, monitor cash flow, and manage petty cash.
• Accounts Receivable: Conduct periodic reconciliations with partners, issue invoices, and manage customer receivables.
• Accounts Payable: Process vendor invoices and manage payments to suppliers.
• Payment Reconciliation: Perform payment reconciliations to ensure the accuracy of financial transactions.
• Bank Cash Management: Monitor bank balances, manage transactions, and execute bank instructions.
• Payment Processing: Handle company expenses, including payroll and benefits.
• Reporting: Prepare budgets and reports as required by management and regulatory authorities, ensuring compliance with accounting standards.
• Tax Compliance: Prepare and file tax returns, ensure timely payments, and stay updated on tax regulations.
• Internal Controls and Auditing: Implement controls and support audit processes.
• Financial Analysis: Participate in project analysis and provide detailed insights

REQUIREMENTS:

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
• Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in a similar accounting role, preferably in an SME environment.
• Preferred: Experience working independently in a fintech or financial services company.
• Proficient in accounting software and MS Excel.
• Strong understanding of accounting principles and practices.
• Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
• Effective time management and ability to meet deadlines.
• Experience in a fast-paced, dynamic work environment.
